We refer to the letter by Mr Wong Chin Kiat (“Insurers should provide coverage for S’pore travellers who get Covid-19 after returning from trips", Feb 22).

We would like to clarify that all integrated shield plans (IPs) cover inpatient medical bills for policyholders should they be infected with Covid-19 upon returning from overseas trips and require hospitalisation as a result.

Coverage is provided regardless of vaccination status, and regardless of whether or not travel was via a Vaccinated Travel Lane.

We encourage policyholders to contact their IP insurer should they have further questions or concerns.
