So far, in the discussions about the pros and cons of the Fair Consideration Framework, one important issue has perhaps been overlooked: If a Singaporean and a foreigner have the same job credentials, whom should the employer hire?

In this scenario, the framework will lack efficacy in helping locals who are seeking employment, unless it spells out that all employers must select the Singaporean jobseeker. This aspect should be addressed and implemented.
