We refer to Mr Francis Cheng Choon Fei's letter, “Make NTUC rewards card contactless” (Aug 3), and thank him for his feedback.

Right now, contactless transactions for LinkPoints issuance are available for the Plus! Visa and NTUC Plus! Visa credit and debit cards.

We are pleased to let Mr Cheng know that plans are in place to extend contactless and cardless technology to Plus! members.

In addition, union members may dispense with a physical card and use the MyNTUC mobile application to scan a QR (quick response) code for LinkPoints.

These initiatives are part of FairPrice Group’s continuing efforts to improve service efficiency to increase convenience for our customers.

We will update our customers as these technologies are rolled out progressively.
