"Imagine the thrill of riding a roller coaster but without being strapped on," says 12-year-old Kai Minejima Lee, on the experience of indoor skydiving. Lee is one of five Singaporean youths representing the country in the 4th FAI World Cup of Indoor Skydiving The competition, organised by the World Air Sports Federation, will be held from April 5 to 10.
Shock and paw: SPCA uses 'experiential tools' to educate youth, deter rising animal abuse
For the second year running, the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) has used somewhat unconventional methods to educate young people about respecting animals. During an event on Saturday (May 27) it offered experiential learning elements like shock collars, dog cages, and virtual reality simulations to let participants experience abuse from an animal's perspective.
