According to the TODAY Youth Survey 2022, many youths feel that the repeal of the Penal Code’s Section 377A, which criminalises sex between men, is a step towards a more inclusive society that helps to reduce discrimination against the LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer) community. However, the debate over LGBTQ issues is unlikely to simmer down with society remaining divided on related issues such as same-sex marriages.
