Cat found alive in bag floating on river in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR — A cat was found alive in a bag tied using wire and floating in a river on Wednesday (May 3).

The video was shared by TikTok user “nadzris” which showed a man who went fishing and came across the floating bag.

He pulled it onto his boat and opened it on the riverbank.

To his surprise, he saw a black cat meowing weakly.

"Humans are cruel. I do not know how long the cat has been in the bag.

"It looked tired when it came out. Those who torture animals will not be spared in the hereafter," the man can be heard saying in the video.

The video has been viewed more than 800,000 times up until 5pm on Wednesday.

Netizens were eager to know the location of the incident.

They thanked the man for rescuing the cat.

"Thank you, brother. Pity the cat. How can someone do that to a cat?" commented TikTok user “perevinvalalan”.

Another user, “mofamus” commented: "May the cat take you to syurga." NEW STRAITS TIMES
