Genting Highlands landslide: 1-year-old boy among 24 who died

KUALA LUMPUR — Post mortem of the 24 victims, including a one-year-old boy, who died in the Father's Organic Farm landslide has been completed.
The National Disaster Management Agency (Nadma) in a statement on Sunday (Dec 18) listed the identity of 21 victims whose bodies were retrieved from the site on the first day of the search and rescue operations.
"The identification process was done using three methods, namely, DNA, thumbprint and facial identification by the next-of-kin.
"Identification of the remaining three victims are being done using the same methods."
The 21 victims were 10 women, four men, four boys and three girls.
The adult victims were:

4. Lai Lee Yin, 37
5. Lai Lee Koon, 44
6. Lam Sook Man, 37
7. Fong Choy Kee, 43
8. Liu Pei Si, 44
9. Chin Su King, 36
10. Gain Choo Yin, 35
11. Ka Kok Boon, 43
12. Eng Choon Wen, 43
13. Wong Kim Yap, 34
14. Lai Chee Sam, 33
The children were:
1.Tong Kai En, 9
2. Zech Loh Qi Yi, 7
3. Eng Huai Yi, 12
4. Ng Yee Tong, 11
5. Ka Sin Ya Vanya, 6
6. Daniel Khor Yen, 5
7. Wong Zi Hang, 1
Nadma had also revealed the identity of eight victims who were injured in the Friday early morning landslide.
Five victims, namely, Yam Lee Yen, 41, Ng Wei Lun 13, Mg Tan, 34, Sandy Cheah Hui Kein, 32, and Choo Wai Lun, 34, have been discharged.
Another three victims — Tan Ei Ein, 43, Ling Zi Xuan, 19 and Loh Teng Shui, 44 — are still being treated at the hospital.
Tan and Loh are at Selayang Hospital, while Ling is at Kuala Lumpur Hospital.
Currently, the search and rescue activities for the remaining nine victims are still ongoing. NEW STRAITS TIMES
