Hong Kong to loosen some Covid-19 curbs including quarantine period for confirmed cases: Report

HONG KONG — Hong Kong authorities will shorten the quarantine period for confirmed Covid-19 cases and close contacts from seven to five days, public broadcaster RTHK reported on Thursday (Dec 8).

HONG KONG — Hong Kong authorities will shorten the quarantine period for confirmed Covid-19 cases and close contacts from seven to five days, public broadcaster RTHK reported on Thursday (Dec 8).

A requirement for arrivals to Hong Kong to undergo daily rapid antigen tests would also be reduced from seven to five days, RTHK added.

The move comes after Chinese authorities on Wednesday announced the most sweeping changes to the nation's stringent Covid-19 control measures since the pandemic began three years ago. REUTERS
