Russian ex-beauty queen shares video of 'romantic dance' with Kelantan Sultan amid news of divorce

KUALA LUMPUR — Talks may be rife about the Sultan of Kelantan having divorced his Russian wife Rihana Oksana Voevodina, with sources confirming to the New Straits Times that the divorce was filed on June 22 and finalised on July 1.

However, for the former Russian beauty pageant contestant who has been rather active on Instagram since June 4, the only "reaction" she offered was an upload of an undated video in which Sultan Muhammad V spoke about their relationship.

The couple were also seen dancing in the video with Ms Voevodina talking about how she wants to "be the last person in his life".

The video was posted late last night and was not accompanied by any caption. 

It has garnered over 170,000 views with more than 1,000 comments.

"Our family priority number one has to be children. Because children carries on your legacy. For me the two most important is patience and understanding. There's a lot of people (who) say love, love, yea yea fine, love is good. But after 15, 20 years, the patience and understanding will overtake the love already.

"Even though there's a lot of hobbies we don't do together but there's a lot of understanding," Sultan Muhammad V is seen saying in the video interview.

Ms Voevodina has posted several photos of herself with Sultan Muhammad V since June 4 and her Instagram account has been verified with a blue tick. She has over 380,000 followers to date. 

The couple married just over a year ago, and their son was born about two months ago on May 21, according to an Instagram post by Ms Voevodina. NEW STRAITS TIMES
