The quintessential cowboy is a man of few words, as Denzel Washington demonstrates in The Magnificent Seven. As the strong, silent bounty hunter and leader of the Seven, Denzel doesn’t really have to learn too many lines to earn his paycheck (what are you expecting — Shakespeare?).

But when the cowboy does speak in great Western action adventures, the country drawl sometimes has us Singaporeans scratching our heads and wondering: “Gong simi?”
