SINGAPORE — A total of 1,800 free comics books will be distributed among Shaw movie-goers as part of International Free Comic Book Day.
Held on the first Saturday of May each year, one of this year’s International Free Comic Book Day celebrations will be held at Shaw House Level 1 from 5 to 7pm on May 3.
Up to 900 Shaw movie-goers with a valid Shaw Theatre ticket stub and Lido Facebook check-in will be allowed to claim their two free comics. Patrons will be attended to on a first-come-first served basis, until comics run out.
Comic book fans will also have the opportunity to meet internationally renowned comic artists Ivan Reis, of Justice League and Green Lantern, Alan Quah, of The Vampire Diaries, and Sheldon Goh, of Grimm Fairy Tales and GI Joe vs Cobra.
Interaction and photo opportunities with local artists, who will be present on the day providing free caricatures and sketches, are available as well.
Shaw Theatres has partnered with comics retailer GnB Comics for this year’s International Free Comic Book Day.
