SINGAPORE – Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) has announced the appointment of Hong Kong celebrity couple Donnie Yen and Cecilia Wang as their new brand ambassadors for the integrated resort.

At a press event this morning (Jan 15), Yen said he was “deeply impressed by what RWS has to offer”. The couple spent the last two days enjoying the facilities and simply walking around the resort. “We are totally excited and very thrilled to be RWS’ ambassadors,” he said.

His wife Wang said that they will definitely bring their kids here, given the myriad of activities.

“The last time we were here together, the South-east Asia Aquarium wasn’t here,” she added.

Yen and Wang are not the only celebrities involved in this campaign, which will launch in March. Acclaimed Hong Kong photographer and director Wing Shya will be shooting the images for this campaign. (He is best known for being the set photographer for Wong Kar Wai’s films such as In The Mood For Love and Happy Together).

“We are delighted to welcome Donnie and Cecilia into the RWS family as our celebrity partners,” said Tan Hee Teck, chairman and chief executive officer, Resorts World Sentosa. “Our brand ambassadors will take the audience on a journey of RWS through their eyes as they discover the ultimate modern luxury in spa and hospitality, family-oriented attractions and entertainment, and diverse culinary offerings at our integrated resort.”
