Michelle Chong, Cynthia Koh to open eatery
SINGAPORE — Just when you thought actress-director-host-entrepreneur Michelle Chong couldn’t possibly get any busier, she opens a restaurant. The comedian is working with good friend and fellow actress Cynthia Koh, as well as former-deejay Daniel Ong (who also owns 12 Cupcakes and Rookery) on a new eatery called Mischief. Located at the Esplanade, it will serve “American street food” such as hot dogs, quesadillas and tacos with an Asian twist, and is slated to open on Feb 16.

SINGAPORE — Just when you thought actress-director-host-entrepreneur Michelle Chong couldn’t possibly get any busier, she opens a restaurant. The comedian is working with good friend and fellow actress Cynthia Koh, as well as former-deejay Daniel Ong (who also owns 12 Cupcakes and Rookery) on a new eatery called Mischief. Located at the Esplanade, it will serve “American street food” such as hot dogs, quesadillas and tacos with an Asian twist, and is slated to open on Feb 16.
“Cynthia has been everywhere, she’s eaten all sorts of cuisine,” Chong said. “For me, you know I love to eat, I am such a foodie. We love food, we’re passionate about food and we think this is a good idea.”
Needless to say, Chong and Koh will not be involved in the day to day management of the restaurant. The duo will be in charge of promoting the restaurant on social media. But Koh will have extra duties.
“(Cynthia) is going to be the bar maid,” Chong quipped.
“Yes, I volunteer for Friday night!” Koh said.
