SINGAPORE – Baby, don’t cry anymore, as the song goes.
It’s time to kiss Wang Leehom goodbye. At least, the bachelor that was Wang Leehom. Now, it’s time to greet the Mandopop star of wedded bliss. Yes, Wang is officially married, his agent has confirmed.
According to his agent, Wang and his 27-year-old girlfriend, Lee Jinglei, registered their marriage in New York on Wednesday (Nov 27). The new Mr and Mrs Wang reportedly chose to get married on that date so that it would coincide with the singer’s parents’ wedding anniversary.
“To all our friends within and without the industry, all the fans and media, thank you for all the congratulatory wishes!” Wang said in his latest post on his Facebook page.
The 37-year-old previously revealed on Facebook that his new wife is a graduate student at Columbia University, an Ivy League school in New York City. Wang also reportedly told Taiwan’s Apple Daily that the couple has known each other for 12 years. Wang was previously romantically linked to stars like A-mei and Shu Qi.
The question now is: Will we hear the patter of little feet any time soon?
