ShiGGa Shay celebrates debut album release with private party

SINGAPORE — There ain’t no party like a hip-hop party. A who’s who of Singapore’s indie music scene gathered at Refuge club on Wednesday evening to celebrate the release of Singapore rap star ShiGGa Shay’s debut eponymous full-length album. ShiGGa Shay, whose real name is Pek Jin Shen, officially dropped his album on National Day this year. His new release features 11 tracks, some of which were written as far back as 2012. It includes the hit single Lion City Kia as well as tracks Afraid To Love (with Gentle Bones) and Everybody, which were released earlier this year.
