Body of S R Nathan arrives at family home for private wake

SINGAPORE — The body of former President S R Nathan arrived at his family home for a private wake on Tuesday morning (Aug 23).

SINGAPORE — The body of former President S R Nathan arrived at his family home for a private wake on Tuesday morning (Aug 23)

Mr Nathan, 92, died Monday night at the Singapore General Hospital, following a stroke he suffered over two weeks ago. 

There will be a private family wake at the former President's residence on Tuesday and Wednesday, following which, Mr Nathan’s body will lie in state at the Parliament House from Thursday to noon on Friday. The public may pay their last respects at Parliament House from 10am to 8pm on Thursday. A State Funeral will take place at 4pm on Friday.
