Female body found near Yishun dam

SINGAPORE — A female Chinese body was found floating near the shore of Yishun dam in the northern part of Singapore this morning (Dec 19).

SINGAPORE — A female Chinese body was found floating near the shore of Yishun dam in the northern part of Singapore this morning (Dec 19).

The woman, who is in her 40s, was pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene, after she was retrieved by Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) officers.

The police said it received a call at 9.45am requesting for assistance along Yishun Avene 1.

A red red rhino and ambulance were dispatched to the scene after receiving a call at the same time.

Mr Chu Guo Ting told TODAY that he spotted many police officers when he was on his way to work. “I saw many police and SCDF officers there (Yishun dam) when I was on my way to work in the car with my colleagues,” added the 34-year-old driver in Mandarin.

The police are investigating the unnatural death.
