SINGAPORE — Postage rates for stamped and franked greeting cards sent between June 3 to 25 will be discounted, Singapore Post (Singpost) announced on Monday (May 29).

Local postage rates during this period will cost $0.30 or $0.37 for greeting cards that weigh 20g or 40g respectively, regardless of size. The normal rate for non-standard size greeting cards is usually $0.60.

Singpost is also offering a festive rate of $0.70 for those sending greeting cards weighing up to 40g to international destinations, with the exceptions of Malaysia and Brunei. Under the normal rates for international postage, fees for a 40g greeting card costs $2.

Postage rates for Malaysia and Brunei will remain at $0.50 for 20g and $0.70 for 50g.

The Hari Raya Puasa festive promotion is one of the four festive promotion rates offered by Singpost. The other three are Chinese New Year, Deepavali, and Christmas.

Customers can purchase stamps for their greeting cards at all post offices, Self-Automated Machines (SAM), postal agents and stamp vendors located island-wide.
