Portland overcame a 10-point halftime deficit to pull off a thrilling win in front of their home fans, taking them to the brink of eliminating Houston.

For a third time in four games, an added period was needed with Nicholas Batum’s layup and three-pointer keying Portland’s win. LaMarcus Aldridge scored 29 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for the Trail Blazers, who are seeking to advance beyond the first round of the playoffs for the first time since 2000. With 7.9secs on the clock, Wes Matthews forced a steal on a Houston possession to seal the game. (See Play of the day)

All-Star guard Stephen Curry scored a game-high 33 points, including a career-best seven three-pointers to sink troubled LA Clippers. The Warriors built a 15-point lead after the first quarter and never looked back, with Andre Iguodala adding 22 points.

Washington 98 Chicago 89

(Wizards lead 3-1 in best-of-seven series)

Trevor Ariza’s playoff-high 30 points, which included six three-pointers, keyed Washington’s victory despite the absence of suspended power forward Nene. The Wizards were up by as many as 23 points in the final quarter as Chicago were poor as a team (22 from 62 attempts), though Taj Gibson posted a career playoff high of 32 points in 13 for 16 shooting.

Toronto 87 Brooklyn 79

(Best-of-seven series tied 2-1)

Toronto led early, though Brooklyn came back and actually led until four minutes into the fourth quarter. The Nets went scoreless for the final 4:57 of the game, allowing the Raptors to pull away, led by 22 points from Kyle Lowry.
