Local author’s love story is Google Play’s top selling book in S’pore

SINGAPORE — A story by a local author charting the tragic relationship of a couple trying to be together was the most downloaded book in Singapore on Google Play this year.

SINGAPORE — A story by a local author charting the tragic relationship of a couple trying to be together was the most downloaded book in Singapore on Google Play this year.

And coming in second place behind Low Kay Hwa’s A Singapore Love Story, is John Green’s The Fault in Our Stars and E L James’s Fifty Shades of Grey: Book One of the Fifty Shades Trilogy

The top 10 best-selling books on Google Play was announced today (Dec 4) in a Best of 2014 list released by Google Singapore.

Other books that made the list include: The Best I Could: From the Case Files of Subhas Anandan, Divergent and How To Win Friends and Influence People.

Also in the Best of 2014 list were a pick, by Play editors, of the best applications and games for the year.

The 30 apps chosen include TED, 7 Minute Workout and Buzzfeed, while games like The Clash of Clans and Farmville 2 were among the 30 games chosen. For a list of the apps and games, visit https://play.google.com and click on the Best of 2014 campaign banner.
