Man falls to his death from third floor Suria KLCC shopping mall

KUALA LUMPUR — A man fell to his death from the third floor of Suria KLCC shopping mall on Wednesday (April 21) afternoon, much to the horror of shoppers.

KUALA LUMPUR — A man fell to his death from the third floor of Suria KLCC shopping mall on Wednesday (April 21) afternoon, much to the horror of shoppers.

The incident took place at about 1.50pm inside the shopping mall, which is linked to the iconic Kuala Lumpur twin towers near Jalan Pinang.

Dang Wangi district police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohamad Zainal Abdullah confirmed the incident, but could not reveal the deceased's identity as investigations were still ongoing.

He said police received a distress call from the mall's management at about 1.52pm, before a team was despatched to the scene.

"It's too soon (to share more information), but for now I can only confirm that a man died after falling from the mall's third floor in Suria KLCC.

"Police are still gathering information on the case," he said, adding that any new developments would be notified later.

Pictures of the deceased lying in a pool of blood on the ground floor have been making their rounds since, on various WhatsApp groups and social media platforms. NEW STRAITS TIMES
