Aaron Kwok Appearing At Star Awards 2022

The Heavenly King along with other overseas guest presenters, including Carol Cheng and Moses Chan, will be able to interact virtually with the audience via “life-sized, three-dimensional” holograms.

If you’re a fan of Aaron Kwok, 56, prepare to be starstruck at this year’s Star Awards.

The Heavenly King will be a presenter on local showbiz’s biggest night. The last time he was at the awards was in 2002, when he took the stage with Karen Mok.

Other overseas stars headlining the event include Hongkong actress Carol Cheng, 64, TVB actor Moses Chan, 50, Taiwanese hosts Jacky Wu, 59 and Mickey Huang, 50, Taiwanese singer Pets Tseng, 37, and Taiwanese actor Austin Lin, 34.

However, the foreign stars will not be at the awards physically. (Damn, COVID!) Instead, they will appear via “life-sized, three-dimensional” holograms. The holoportation device will allow for the overseas presenters to have real time interaction with each other as well as the audience.

Local stars Guo Liang, Irene Ang, Jaspers Lai, Marcus Chin as well as SGAG’s Xiao Ming will also appear as presenters but unlike the overseas guests, they will be there in person.

Another thing to look out for? This year, the awards will be delivered to the winners by a robot, allowing for some next level social distancing.
