BY2’s Miko Bai Hints That Her Scandal-Plagued Sister Yumi Is Still In Hospital

Meanwhile, netizens are asking her to ditch her “problematic” twin, who was accused of having an affair with Wang Leehom, and focus on a solo career instead.

On Dec 22, it was rumoured that BY's Yumi Bai had attempted suicide after she was accused by netizens of having an affair with Wang Leehom, whose ex-wife Lee Jinglei had written a damning expose on his seedy private life.

Although neither Yumi nor her twin sister, Miko, both 29, confirmed the reports that Yumi had tried to take her own life, Miko’s New Year message seems to hint that her younger sis isn't doing too well health-wise.

Miko wrote, “It’s a New Year and I have a new wish. Unfortunately, the new year can’t take away the wounds in my heart that were caused by lies. I hope that the person that I care about the most can be discharged from the hospital and recover as soon as possible.”

“In recent years, societal pressure has become immense,” Miko continued. “Some people have learned how to bear with it but over 75 per cent of adults in this world haven’t found an outlet to vent these emotions. We need to spend a bit more time caring for and loving people that matter.”

She then talked about the “difficult obstacles” that she’s gone through in the past 13 years after she joined showbiz, and how she wants to continue “protecting [her] youth and dreams”.

At the end of her post, she seemingly addressed Yumi’s scandal, writing: “Don’t judge someone based on what others say. A gentleman doesn’t stand under a crumbling wall. You can only judge if a bottle of soda tastes good after you’ve drank it yourself. Be kind, not mean to others. There are cracks in everything; that's how the light gets in.”

While Miko remains fiercely loyal to Yumi, netizens have urged her to ditch her "problematic" younger twin in favour of a solo career.

Yumi has been linked to a number of famous men over the years, including late casino mogul Stanley Ho’s son Mario Ho, as well as Elroy Cheo, who is the brother of Singaporean socialite Arissa Cheo.

According to netizens, Yumi is notorious for her “messy private life” and has been known to “put her relationships before her career”. On the other hand, netizens say Miko has “consistently shown that she loves music and dancing” but “always gets mistakenly criticised because of her twin”.
