Covid-19 measures have disrupted the operating hours for many F&B businesses in Singapore. Even reliable late-night haunts like Starbucks are now closing earlier, making it tougher for night owls to find a spot to hang out at till late. But you can still treat yourself to a night out, even if you can’t find a bar to enjoy a tipple after 10.30pm.
Here’s a handy list of 20 eateries serving desserts and beverages that stay open till at least 10pm during Phase 2.
This double-storey Korean cafe at Isetan Scotts is open round-the-clock, with a dessert bar on its second floor. Other than savoury food like Korean fried chicken, kimchi fried rice, pizzas and pastas, the cafe also serves bingsu and plated desserts such as Soufflé Pancakes ($17.90).

Head to this cafe if you want to chill till the wee hours — it’s open till 3am daily. It specialises in Shibuya Toast (from $8.90), the indulgent honey toast dessert topped with ice cream and fruits, albeit with Thai-inspired flavours like Thai kaya. Other than dessert toast, Wan Wan also sells a selection of Korean-style bingsu, ice cream waffles and smoothies.

Kafe Utu specialises in African food, including a selection of African desserts like Nakupenda ($10), a Kenyan-style donut topped with soft serve ice cream, Malindi Halwa (Swahili mochi with coconut yogurt, $10) and Mahamri ($8), Swahili fried bread with coconut flakes and cardamom. This halal-certified Hong Kong-style dessert cafe’s tagline goes, “Life is short and uncertain, eat dessert first”. Or you can have it after dinner, since the shop opens till 12.30am. It offers tong shui like Mango Sago with Pomelo ($5.50) and shaved ice treats like Durian Shaved Ice ($8.50). It also has Durian Waffle ($9.50) with vanilla ice cream and a scoop of durian pulp.

Hipster ice cream specialist Apiary offers some interesting flavours for their house-made ice cream (from $4.20 for a single scoop). Like the eponymous Apiary (wildflower honey ice cream with French nougats), Blue Milk (milk-based ice cream dyed with butterfly pea flowers) and Caramelised Strawberry.

Opened this year, Yishun gelato cafe Bloom Artisan sells house-made gelato in flavours like Wheatmilk and Speculoos Cookies & Cream (from $3.50 for a single scoop). You can order your ice cream with a waffle cone, or house-made Brown Butter Sourdough Waffles.

Kara is opened by the folks behind local froyo chain Sogurt. You can get customised froyo cups ($3.20 per 100g) via a self-serve counter here, or go for house-made desserts like Matcha Berry Mochi Waffles ($12.50) and warm treats served in a skillet with a dollop of cold soft serve, like the S’mores Sensation ($12.50) with a gooey marshmallow and graham cracker base.

Located along Orchard Road, this vegan dessert parlour offers ice cream scoops that are dairy, refined sugar and soy-free, with gluten-free options. You can still hang out with friends at this Friends-themed cafe, modelled after sitcom’s iconic Central Perk hangout. While it offers mostly savoury food (like Ross’ Thanksgiving Sandwich, $21), it also has Friends-specific desserts like Mrs Braversman’s Cheesecake ($16). Take note that the cafe’s kitchen closes at 9.30pm, but customers are welcome to hang out on the orange couch till 11pm.

Opened by Korean boyband BTOB’s member Eunkwang, this minimalist cafe (named after Korea’s country code) at Rendezvous Hotel is for the K-pop fans. While it serves the usual Korean desserts like ‘snowflake’ bingsu, it also has a Siltarae Bingsu ($17.90), where the shaved ice comes in a fine pile on a plate with toppings. There are three flavours available: matcha, banana and chocolate.

As its name implies, this dessert bar at Holland Village by homegrown celeb chef Janice Wong is open till 2am. But it serves more atas plated sweet treats than your average cafe, which you can order to pair with cocktails. Like the elegant Strawberry Caprese ($22) with pickled strawberries, and a sharing platter called 2am: icequake ($35) which has eight scoops of ice cream in flavours like 85% dark chocolate, pandan and espresso.

Opened by South Korean comedian Shin Jung-hwan, bingsu cafe Ice Lab initially launched in Singapore with a short-lived outlet beside 313@Somerset. It now has a second branch at Bugis Village, where it continues to serve its Korean shaved ice desserts in flavours like milk tea, yogurt and coffee.
