Durian is back in season — and if you’re the atas kind who’d rather not gnaw on durian seeds at a roadside stall, there’s Goodwood Park Hotel’s annual Durian Fiesta, which started on March 15 and is on till July 14. During this period, the hotel’s The Deli offers a range of durian desserts made with D24 and Mao Shan Wang durians. The sweet treats are for takeaway, so you can tapow ’em to enjoy in the comfort of your own home.

There are six new D24 durian desserts on the menu this year, which includes the D24 Pandan Lapis Coconut Cake, Mini D24 Ice Cream Bars, D24 Matcha Mont Blanc Tart and D24 Royale Cheesecake. The hotel’s signatures such as D24 Mousse Cake, D24 Puffs, D24 Crêpe and D24 Ice Cream also make a return.

1 of 5 D24 Pandan Lapis Coconut Cake, $16 per slice/ $88 for a 1.2kg cake (feeds six to eight pax)

This colourful number features five layers of fluffy pandan sponge cake and D24 durian mousse, all cloaked in a coat of cream frosting and coconut flakes.

2 of 5 D24 Matcha Mont Blanc Tart, $14.80 for two tarts, $42 for six tarts (dine-in only)

Prefer durian in small doses? This dainty mod take on the traditional mont blanc dessert has a white chocolate dome stuffed with D24 durian pulp, matcha mousse and chestnut mousse. It’s then topped with an Insta-worthy sliver of white chocolate tuile and matcha sponge cake.

3 of 5 Mini D24 Ice Cream Bars, $22 for a box of four flavours

These little ice cream bars look like your average mini Magnum bars, except they’re stuffed with D24 durian ice cream. There are four flavours available for the ice cream bar’s crackly coat: dark chocolate, almond, cappuccino and Oreo.

  • 4 of 5 D24 Royale Cheesecake, $28 nett for a 350g cake (feeds two pax)

This petite cake that’s good for small gatherings boasts a cream cheesecake base that’s topped with D24 durian mousse. Sounds yummy but jelak.

  • 5 of 5 D24 Singapore Commemoration Cake, $88 for a 1kg cake (feeds four to five pax)

If you fancy a cake that comes with a lesson on Singapore’s history, this is it. The 1kg white chocolate-covered cake comes in four different flavours – durian mousse, gula melaka, coffee and pandan, which is spread out over nine cake ‘squares’, each topped by a piece of white chocolate mosaic printed with historical scenes of Singapore and Goodwood Park Hotel. Kinda like, er, a cake version of an Instagram grid. Only 200 cakes available, and you have to order at least five days in advance.
