McDonald’s Launches Crispy “Hainanese Chicken” Burger With Ben Yeo
The National Day special is a collab with the celeb foodie.
McDonald’s has teamed up with Mediacorp actor-host Ben Yeo to launch a limited-edition Crispy Hainanese Chicken Burger on Aug 5 for National Day.
Instead of unctuous steamed chicken, Ben’s burger (from $6.60 for a la carte; $8.30 for Extra Value Meal) comes with a “juicy, crispy chicken patty complemented by a trio of sauces that is unique to the Hainanese Chicken Rice – ginger sauce, garlic chili sauce and dark sweet sauce”.
You’re supposed to drizzle the sauces on the fried chicken patty, like you would for a plate of chicken rice.
To complete the hawker food-themed collab, there’s also a Kopi Frappé that goes with the chicken burger.
Plus a dessert Banana Pie.
Instead of McDonald’s usual shoestring fries, you can get Crisscut Fries.
The Crispy “Hainanese Chicken” Burger, Crisscut Fries and Banana Pie are available after breakfast hours starting Aug 5 for takeaway at all McDonald’s outlets, Drive-Thru and via McDelivery, GrabFood and Foodpanda while stocks last. The Kopi Frappé is available all day at McDonald’s restaurants excluding McCafé, Dessert Kiosks, McDonald’s Lido and McDonald’s Parklane Shopping Mall.
