The eatery opened its first outlet at Causeway Bay’s Russell Street in 1994, and has since expanded to five other locations in Hong Kong including Mongkok, Tsim Sha Tsui and the Hong Kong International Airport. They are known for their plump wontons wrapped in paper-thin dumpling skins with a generous amount of silky skin left trailing like a ‘goldfish’s tail’. They also earned a mention in Michelin Guide Hong Kong Macau 2010 as a “must-try destination”.

The restaurant here will open round-the-clock offering its signature Shrimp Wonton Noodles ($8.95), as well as other traditional HK favourites like Fried Wontons ($8.95 for five), Dumplings in Chilli Oil ($10.95), Dry Scallops and Shrimp Balls in Soup Rice ($10.95), Braised Beef Tendon and Brisket with Vegetable Rice ($14.95), Shredded Pork & Century Egg Congee ($9.95).

Chee Kei, the 24-year-old wonton noodle chain from Hong Kong, has just opened its first Singapore outlet at Changi Airport’s Terminal 2. And good news — you don’t have to buy a plane ticket to eat here since it’s located in the public area before you hit immigration.
