We have reached out to the company for more information, but in the meantime, here is what we know: popular Hokkaido ice cream parlour Naganuma Ice Co. is setting up its second takeaway outlet within Don Don Donki’s new space.Which means there is a chance that other notable, fellow Japanese F&B brands will also open stalls there and form a Japanese food enclave not unlike Don Don Donki’s existing Hokkaido Marche food court at Orchard Central, which has different food stalls operated by established eateries from Japan. Last September, Japanese discount chain Don Don Donk i announced that it plans to open 10 stores in Singapore by 2020. Well, it is now on store number three — the latest outlet opens next Friday (January 11), 10am, at the basement of City Square Mall on Kitchener Road. The massive 26,000 sqf store is Don Don Donki’s biggest local outlet to date.

To promote its upcoming outlet’s opening, Don Don Donki is running a lucky draw promotion on its Facebook page with a chance for you to win a Pikachu & Eevee Edition Nintendo Switch if you post “how you feel” about its new City Square Mall branch in the comments section.
