Remember all those times we thought we scored a great hairstyle after a trip to the salon, only for our friends to disagree?

Well, we think Hong Kong actor Edison Chen might understand how it feels.

The 43-year-old was recently tagged in a picture showing what we think is his hairstyle for Chinese New Year.

And what a hairstyle it is.

Just take a look:

Edison's questionable look is said to be inspired by a dragon (it is the Year of the Dragon) and was first seen on hairstylist Aki’s Instagram. Aki runs popular Japanese hair salon, The Oversea.

Aki even posted a picture of Edison sitting in the stylist’s chair with the caption: "Before Chinese New Year".

However, no sight of the ‘Chinese dragon’ look was spotted on Edison’s socials after the post went public.

In fact, Edison seems to have kept his hair covered under a cap.

We wonder if Edison shared our sentiment.

Of course, netizens had a field day discussing the hairstyle.

While some praised it as novel and avant-garde, many seem to find it terrible and left several negative remarks.

Including this one, which we think describes it best: “I wake up looking like this too.”
