Eleanor Lee Says Her Harassment Case With Glenn Yong Was A “Misunderstanding” And That They’ve Cleared The Air With The Help Of Their Lawyers

It is not known how this dispute between Glenn and Eleanor arose, but they’ve known each other since at least 2020.

On Aug 7, local online media outlet Mothership reported that local artiste Glenn Yong, 25, was embroiled in a harassment case with fellow celeb Eleanor Lee, 22.

Glenn is best known for starring in Jack Neo’s movie series, Ah Girls Go Army. Meanwhile, Eleanor, who’s the daughter of veteran TV host Quan Yifeng, found fame in China after a viral Apple commercial in 2015, and has seen her popularity rise steadily in the country.

According to Mothership, the duo have been to multiple sessions of Case Management Conferences (CMCs) since April 2022, with the nature of the case classified under the Protection from Harassment Act (POHA).

Glenn and Eleanor's last CMC was on Aug 1 this year.

A CMC is part of a simplified civil process, where both parties meet with the courts to narrow down the issues faced, and facilitate an early resolution of their dispute without needing to go to trial.

The latest CMC Glenn and Eleanor attended was on Aug 1 this year.

It is not known how this dispute between Glenn and Eleanor arose, but they’ve known each other since at least 2020.

Glenn attended Eleanor’s 21st birthday party, and took a picture with Eleanor, Yifeng, and Dasmond Koh. In 2020, Glenn starred in Mediacorp drama Victory Lap, with Dasmond as the executive producer.

On Aug 4, Yifeng announced that she would be taking a break from social media due to “slight illness”.

Earlier this year, Glenn had spoken with 8days.sg, where he shared that he’d filed a police report against an anonymous hater who’d been spreading lies and falsehoods about him.

According to Glenn, the individual will track his following list on IG "every single day”

Then, the person would proceed to either Direct Message or leave a comment on the posts of whomever Glenn follows, to spread lies about the actor.

If the person Glenn followed happened to be a girl, the individual will DM them, to ask if Glenn had slept with them.

They also went on to harass Glenn’s family with similar statements. He added that he believes that the person is someone he knows personally, and that he might be taking legal action against the hater.

All done?

Both parties have not publicly addressed this case, till today.

This afternoon (Aug 8), Eleanor shared a post on her Instagram Story, announcing that the “misunderstanding" between her and Glenn, whom she described as a “colleague”, has since been resolved.

She shared that the past few months have been stressful, but that she’s “glad to be able to finally shed some light on what has been going on”.

Eleanor went on to write there there have been some “issues" and disagreements” between her and Glenn, which started around August last year.

However, they’ve since managed to resolve their misunderstanding with the help of their lawyers.

“My priority now is to hone my craft and bring more exciting productions to all of you. Thank you for standing by me,” she concluded.

Glenn posted the same statement on his IG Story a few hours later.

When 8days.sg contacted Glenn for a comment, the actor directed us to his manager, who shared that they’re waiting to hear back from his lawyer regarding the case.
