Here Are The Real Ages Of The Actors Who Played High School Students In All Of Us Are Dead (Some Are In Their 30s)
Only a few of them are actually in their teens.
Adults playing teenagers on screen is nothing new, so it probably shouldn’t come as a surprise that quite a number of the actors on hit Netflix series All Of Us Are Dead are way past high school-going age.
For those who have yet to get in on the hype, All Of Us Are Dead is a zombie apocalypse K-drama that’s mainly based in a (very unlucky) high school, so most of the characters are supposed to be under the age of 20… but that isn’t necessarily the case for their real-life counterparts.
Recently, netizens compiled the real-life ages of the cast members who played students in All Of Us Are Dead, so keep on scrolling for more (unless you have yet to finish watching the show ‘cos there are mild spoilers ahead).
Early 30s: Lee Min Goo, Oh Hee Joon
Lee Jin Su, the bullied student who unwittingly becomes patient zero of the zombie outbreak after his father injects a virus into him, is played by Lee Min Goo, who is 30 this year.
Another one of the oldest actors portraying a student — except this time, he’s the ruthless leader of the bullies, Son Myung Hwan — is Oh Hee Joon, who turns 34 later this month.
Late 20s: Lee Yoo Mi, Lim Jae Hyuk, Ahn Seung Gyun
Squid Game fans would recognise Lee Yoo Mi, who made an impression as Ji Yeong aka Player 240. The 27-year-old (28 this year) returns in All Of Us Are Dead as snobby rich girl Lee Na Yeon.
Also celebrating their 28th birthdays this year are Lim Jae Hyuk aka Yang Dae Su, the series’ lovable comic relief, and Ahn Seung Gyun, who played brainy top student Oh Joon Young.
Late 20s: Ha Seung Ri, Oh Hye Soo, Jung Yi Seo
Badass archery team member Jang Ha Ri is played by Ha Seung Ri, 27, and Oh Hye Soo, who delivered a heartbreaking performance as bully victim Min Eun Ji, is also 27 this year.
Jung Yi Seo, whose character Kim Hyeon Ju is the first to catch the zombie virus and spread it to the rest of the school, is 28.
Early 20s: Ham Sung Min, Yoo In Soo
Turning 24 in March this year are Ham Sung Min, whose character Han Gyeong Su probably had the most needless and enraging death in the whole show, and Yoo In Soo, who starred as the annoyingly unkillable main antagonist, school bully Yoon Gwi Nam.
Early 20s: Park Solomon, Cho Yi Hyun, Lee Eun Saem, Yoon Chan Young, Kim Bo Yoon
In the “Born In 1999” club — making them 23 this year, if you’re lazy to do the math — are Park Solomon (reformed bully and skilled fighter Lee Su Hyeok), Cho Yi Hyun (stoic class prez Choi Nam Ra), and Lee Eun Saem (foul-mouthed delinquent Park Mi Jin).
Rounding up the list of cast members in their 20s are Yoon Chan Young, who starred as the selfless and heroic Lee Cheong San, and Kim Bo Yoon, who played the timid Seo Hyo Ryung. They’re both 21 this year.
The actual teens: Park Ji Hu, Son Sang Yeon
Closer to the ages of their onscreen selves are 18-year-old Park Ji Hu, whose character Nam On Jo’s survival skills — courtesy of her firefighter dad — come in handy during the outbreak, and 19-year-old Son Sang Yeon aka Ha Ri’s younger brother Jang Woo Jin.
The actual teens: Kim Jin Young, Ahn Ji Ho, Kim Joo Ah, Lee Chae Eun
Kim Ji Min, bully victim Kim Chul Soo, On Jo’s best friend Yoon I Sak, and young mother Park Hee Su are also portrayed by teenagers: 18-year-old Kim Jin Young, 18-year-old Ahn Ji Ho, 17-year-old Kim Joo Ah, and 17-year-old Lee Chae Eun, respectively.
