Jamie Lee Curtis Is Happy To Show Off Her Belly In New Michelle Yeoh Sci-Fi Movie: "I Have Never Felt More Free Creatively And Physically"
Jamie Lee Curtis revealed she refused to suck in her stomach in her new movie ‘Everything Everywhere All At Once’ because she's been doing that since she was 11 — and she's done with "concealing the reality of who we are".

Jamie Lee Curtis refused to suck in her stomach in her new movie Everything Everywhere All At Once.
Written and directed by The Daniels, aka Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, Everything Everywhere All at Once follows an ageing Chinese immigrant (Michelle Yeoh) who fights her way through many realities to save the multiverse.
In an Instagram post of her in costume as her character IRS auditor Deirdre Beaubeirdra, Curtis, 63, wrote in the caption: “In the world, there is an industry -- a billion-dollar, trillion-dollar industry -- about hiding things. Concealers. Body-shapers. Fillers. Procedures. Clothing. Hair accessories. Hair products. Everything to conceal the reality of who we are."
She continued: "And my instruction to everybody was: I want there to be no concealing of anything. I've been sucking my stomach in since I was 11, when you start being conscious of boys and bodies, and the jeans are super tight. I very specifically decided to relinquish and release every muscle I had that I used to clench to hide the reality. That was my goal. I have never felt more free creatively and physically.
Everything Everywhere All at Once made its world premiere at the SXSW Festival, which kicked off on Friday (Mar 11) and will run to Mar 20. It opens in SIngapore cinemas on Mar 24.
