Jackie and Jet are often viewed as neck-and-neck when it comes to their fighting abilities, and their fans have long debated this question: Who will win in a fight between the two?

Well, this old interview where acclaimed Hong Kong director Wong Jing, 67, shared his thoughts on the debate will help to answer that.

Wong Jing, who has worked with both Jet and Jackie, had this really well-thought-out answer to offer when asked to predict the winner in a fight between the two stars.

Firstly, Wong Jing shared that Jet is considered the strongest weapon user in the world of martial arts, with Jackie lagging behind.

When it comes to using weapons, particularly Chinese weapons, Jet has a very strong understanding of how to utilise these tools to fight efficiently.

Even when he is reduced to using a mere pole, a rope, or even a branch, Jet is able to execute his moves elegantly.

Then, when it comes to Jackie, what sets him apart from Jet is Jackie’s mastery when it comes to fighting with his bare fists. Jackie’s control of his body has always been strong, and his timing when it comes to dodging and striking his opponents is unparalleled.

When it comes to fighting, Jackie is able to execute flashy and fluid routines when it comes to dodging, and he is able to do so in a way that injects humour into the entire fight, something that many martial artists struggle to do.

Therefore, in Wong Jing’s opinion, it seems like it’s impossible to compare the two martial arts stars, since the way they fight is fundamentally different.
