Johnny Depp Is Dating Lawyer Joelle Rich Who Worked On His UK Libel Case: "They Are The Real Deal"

Johnny Depp is reportedly dating Joelle Rich.

Depp, 59, is said to have struck up a relationship with lawyer Rich after she worked with him on his libel case against The Sun newspaper back in 2018.

A source told UsWeekly: "Their chemistry is off the charts. It’s serious between them. They are the real deal."

The Pirates of the Caribbean star lost his libel case against the British tabloid but won a defamation case against ex-wife Amber Heard, in which she alleged that she had claimed to have been a victim of alleged domestic abuse throughout their marriage for a newspaper article.

The insider went on to note that while Rich — who did not work on his defamation case — had no "professional" obligation to be present for the hearing back in June, she attended the Virginia courtroom to show her “support” for Johnny and claimed that the pair had been "meeting up" in hotel rooms in the early days of their romance.

The insider added: "There was no professional obligation for her being there. It was personal. She wanted to show her support. [Johnny and Joelle] discreetly met up in hotel rooms during the early stages."

According to reports, Rich was married when she met Depp, but is now divorcing her husband. She and her estranged spouse share two children.

Meanwhile, Heard is said to be indifferent about the latest developments in Depp's dating life. 

A source told Entertainment Tonight: "Amber isn't paying attention to Johnny or his personal life. She doesn't care who he dates and just wants to move forward with her life."

Amid news of Depp's new relationship, his infamous defamation trial has been made into a movie, premiering on the Tubi streaming service on Sept 30. 

Called Hot Take: The Depp/Heard Trial, the movie will star Mark Hapka as Depp, Megan Davis as Heard, Melissa Marty as Depp's attorney Camille Vasquez and Mary Carrig as Heard's lawyer, Elaine Bredehoft.— BANG SHOWBIZ
