Hongkong actress Kara Hui, 62, might cut an imposing figure with her signature bob cut, but with just one little change, she transforms into an “adorable" and “young at heart” maiden.

In a Weibo video posted on May 25, Kara introduced her followers to a dim sum restaurant in Guangzhou that she really likes. 

But before we could get to the food, Kara had a very important disclaimer to make about her hairstyle.

Instead of her usual bob, Kara appeared to be growing out her hair, and so had it tied back into a spunky double braid.

First of all...

“You can’t cut this part out. I’m not acting cute, it’s ‘cos I had no choice. I’m in the middle of filming right now, and my hair has grown long. It’s being pulled and twisted super intensely everyday. Earlier, I couldn’t get it to [lay flat] no matter how I styled it, so I had no choice but to tie it up [like this],” Kara explained.

The actress then went on to share: “I'm about to wrap filming for this project, I would be able to cut my hair after that,” before cheekily asking if her hairdo “looks nice”.

And of course, netizens really, really, loved it.

She's a foodie too.

“Wow, I love this hairstyle,” one netizen gushed in the comments, while another wrote that Kara looked “so cute” with her double braids.

“Could you continue to grow out your hair? I want to see a long-haired Kara,” another netizen requested.

Finally, one netizen also praised Kara for being “young at heart”, writing that Kara has “looks like a 30-year-old, and has the heart of an 18-year-old”.
