Late Cat III Star Pauline Chan’s son is now 21 and a rapper
Pauline was only 29 when she jumped to her death three weeks after giving birth to her son Chiu Hwang Yi.
Back in the ‘90s, actress Pauline Chan Bo Lin was one of Hong Kong’s most popular Category III stars.
The 1.75m model joined showbiz at the age of 18 after taking part in the 1990 Miss Asia pageant and went on to star in a string of soft porn flicks such as The Girls From China and Erotic Ghost Story III.
She is best remembered for her role as a female assassin in 1994 Stephen Chow comedy From Beijing with Love.
However, her career was overshadowed by her troubled personal life.

The scandal-plagued actress made headlines for drug abuse, attempted suicide and assault, was once set her Mid-Levels flat on fire.
Her love life was equally dramatic.
Pauline famously dated Hong Kong actors Max Mok and Karel Wong, and was embroiled in a tempestuous relationship with Taiwan tycoon Huang Renchung.
She later got together with an American-born Chinese DJ and became pregnant with his child.
Though they split after three months in 2002, she was determined to keep the baby.
However, three weeks after giving birth to her son, Pauline jumped to her death from her Shanghai apartment. She was 29.

Following her passing, Pauline’s pal, Taiwanese Faye Wong's ex-manager and film producer Chiu Li Kwan, adopted her son and named him Chiu Hwang Yi.
Now 21, Hwang Yi, who also goes by the name Don Don, is said to have debuted as a rapper with Taiwanese hip-hop group YO MOB.
Formed in 2021, the group has released several songs and staged performances, but still remains relatively unknown. A check on the group's Instagram account shows that they have just 1.4K followers.

Not only has he followed in his late mum’s showbiz footsteps, Hwang Yi has also inherited her good looks and height.
According to reports, Hwang Yi, a basketball player, was already 1.83m tall when he was in high school. He is also said to look like Taiwanese actor Kai Ko.
