Lin Chiling, 47, Announces Birth Of 1st Child
Guess she won't have to answer those "When are you having a baby?" questions during Chinese New Year anymore.
Guess she won't have to answer those "When are you having a baby?" questions during Chinese New Year anymore.
Now isn’t this a surprise?
Today (Jan 31), Lin Chiling, 47, took to her socials to announce a piece of very good news — she’s now a mother.
Yes, somehow, the model-actress managed to keep news of her pregnancy a complete secret.
Chiling tied the knot with her Japanese popstar husband, EXILE’s Akira, 40, in 2019. And the couple live in Japan now, which probably makes it easier for her to hide from the all-seeing Taiwanese paparazzi.
She also cut back considerably on her showbiz activities in the past year, perhaps to focus on her pregnancy.
The couple did a photoshoot for a magazine in August last year
Though Chiling did not share any details about her bundle of joy in her caption, including the baby’s gender and age, she did reveal that they wanted to share their happiness with everyone through their baby announcement.
“Thank you for coming into our family. Finally, finally, we’ve managed to wait till the birth of this little angel into our family. I really hope to be able to share my joy and heartfelt gratitude with everyone I love at the start of this beautiful year”.
"I’ll also like to thank everyone for the well-wishes and cheers that they’ve always sent me. Happy new year, and here’s wishing everyone peace and good health, and to always continue looking to the future with hope, and for love to be with everyone always,” she wrote.
Similarly, Akira also shared the same picture of their baby’s hand holding on to their fingers on his Instagram, along with a caption written in Japanese, Chinese, and English.
His English caption reads: "Thank you for coming into our family!!
Keep hope alive, hope that pushes you forward, and our future will be filled with delightful love!
Celebrating Chinese New Year from tomorrow, I’d like to share my love and appreciation. I hope from the bottom of my heart that you all are having a great start of the year!!
Thank you always for your love and support.
I’ll do my best to live up to it.”.
In an interview conducted in 2020, Chiling let on that she would be putting her career on the back burner for now, as she wants to focus on her family life.
The couple met while working on musical Red Cliff -Love- eight years ago, and remained friends. They started dating in 2018, and tied the knot a year later.
They're a family-of-three now
