Liu Yifei Reportedly Gave Louis Vuitton Bags To The Crew Of A Dream Of Splendor When Filming Wrapped

The generous actress, who's the celeb ambassador for the luxury brand, showed her appreciation for the team in a very generous way.

Chinese actress Liu Yifei, 34, recently marked her return to the small screen after 16 years with web series A Dream Of Splendor.

The period drama about three women who band together to fight society's misogynistic treatment of them, also stars actresses Liu Yan and Jelly Liu Yun.

Since its debut on June 2 on streaming platform Tencent Video, the series has been getting rave reviews, earning a robust 8.8/10 rating on Douban, China’s equivalent of review-aggregation website Rotten Tomatoes.

According to reports, the success of the drama can be attributed to the dedication and camaraderie of the cast and crew.

Yifei was reportedly so grateful for everybody’s contribution that when filming wrapped, she gifted the production team with Louis Vuitton bags.

While it is not known how big the team is, the media reckon there must be “a few dozen” crew members. And with each bag costing at least S$1,000, the gifts must have cost the Louis Vuitton brand ambassador a pretty penny.

But the gifts didn’t stop there.

The generous actress also bought Liu Yan and Jelly necklaces.

According to Jelly, Yifei is a very attentive co-star, and took very good care of her on set. The pair also became good friends.

Jelly shared that she once asked Yifei to go shopping with her and she was surprised that the actress, who is a huge homebody, agreed.

Jelly also revealed that Yifei was so nervous about their outing, she couldn’t sleep the night before.
