K-Drama’s 7 Most Fashionable Leading Ladies In 2020
From Yoon Se-ri in Crash Landing on You to Ko Moon-young in It’s Okay to Not Be Okay, here are the fashionistas who blew us away in our favourite Korean dramas this year.
We shall remember 2020 as the year many of us turned to Korean dramas for comfort and escape. The romance, the OTT plots, the impossibly handsome and devoted male protagonists, the porelessly-perfect female leads, and the fashion, oh, the fashion. Why do the characters in K-dramas dress and accessorise so darn stylishly?
Just like how we don’t question the convoluted twists and turns of a blockbuster K-drama, we don’t question the fashion. We just ogle, appreciate and try to copy.
Here are 8days.sg's 7 picks for most stylish Korean drama female characters in an extraordinary year for K-drama.
#1: Yoon Se-ri, played by Son Ye-Jin, in Crash Landing on You
Besides the amazing plot, the sizzling chemistry between the leads and, um, Hyun Bin, here’s another reason CLOY was one of the most-loved K-dramas of 2020 — the fashion. When female lead Se-ri is not in North Korea making flowery curtains and ajumma outfits look like retro fashion is the biggest Spring/Summer 2020 trend, she’s back in Seoul looking galboss-sharp and lowkey sexy with her power suits. Which Se-ri do we like better? It’s a seriously tough choice.
#7: Seo Dal-mi, played by Bae Suzy, in Start-Up
Last but not least, the recently-concluded K-drama hit, Start-Up, starring young entrepreneurs in South Korea’s fictitious Silicon Valley, called Sandbox. Dal-mi is not just the love interest of the two male leads, but also interests the audience with her dress sense, which is sorta like girl boss with a hint of cute. She wears a lot of silk chiffon tops that accentuate her waist, as well as stylish trenches, peplum blazers and oversized blazers. Add a Dior bag or two (we spotted the Dior Bobby, Dior Lady and Dior Book Tote) and that Lancome lipstick, and she’s all set as the Sandbox fashion darling. As for her love life… Are you Team Han Ji-pyeong or Team Nam Do-san?
