An Entire Hotel Suite That Looks And Smells Like Cookies? Book It In Phuket From $340 A Night
Cookie monsters, plan your next vacay around this new resort in Thailand.
If you’ve checked into a DoubleTree by Hilton hotel anywhere in the world, you’ve probably had one of their signature warm chocolate chip cookies that are served complimentary to hotel guests.
Served warm at check-in, these generous-sized chocolate chip cookies have become synonymous with the hotel chain ever since they started dishing out these bad boys out in 1986. The delish sweet treats were so popular, the hotel chain began selling them for guests to take home. You can’t get your paws on any in Singapore — the closest is in Kuala Lumpur — but you can try baking your own using one of the many copycat recipes that fans have posted online. But here’s an easier way to get those cookies: go for a holiday.
The new DoubleTree by Hilton Phuket Banthai Resort in Thailand has taken cookie fever a step further and launched the first-ever Cookie Suite. The King Deluxe Suite is fully decked out in Insta-friendly cookie paraphernalia that’s really the stuff of Cookie Monster’s dreams. The Cookie Suite Experiential Package (a 3D2N package starts from 7,500 THB or S$339) is available to book at the month-old resort nestled right across Patong Beach in Phuket, but only until Dec 31.
Besides a separate living area, kitchenette and Jacuzzi bathtub, the one-bedroom suite even has a cute photo-ready cookie bar, stocked with the fresh baked goods. And if all those cookies ain’t enough for you cookie fiends, you can request for more throughout your stay (applies to all guests at all DoubleTree by Hilton hotels worldwide). However, guests luxuriating in the Cookie Suite will also get to try the exclusive pad thai and coconut-flavoured DoubleTree by Hilton cookies during their stay. If anything, at least you get bragging rights.
Besides a separate living area, The one-bedroom suite also comes replete with cookie-scented candles and body scrubs, boasting scents such as vanilla butter and chocolate chip. Sounds delectable, though we reckon you won’t smell like a walking Famous Amos kiosk. There’s also a cookie-themed beach kit that comes with a beach brolly with a cookie design prepared for guests who want to frolick at Patong Beach, located right across the one-month-old resort. There are also cookie-themed bathrobes and slippers provided during turn-down service, and cookie plushies for the young ones.
The Cookie Suite Experiential Package comes with non-cookie perks too. Guests get to attend either a complimentary Thai cooking class with a local chef or a cocktail mixing class with a bartender. How’s that for a balanced diet? Other perks in the package include daily breakfast for two, one sunset drink per person per day at the hotel bar (pictured above) for two pax, a four-course set dinner at the property’s restaurant and return airport transfer.
Regular room rates start from 2,250 THB (S$102) per night.
Take a dip in one of three pools at the hotel, each with its own swim-up pool bar.
