A look at Prince Abdul Mateen of Brunei’s 10-day royal wedding
Here's what has happened at the event, which has been called the 'Wedding of the Decade, so far.
In October last year, it was announced that Brunei’s Prince Abdul Mateen, 32, was set to marry Anisha Rosnah, an entrepreneur, who is also the granddaughter of Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah’s special adviser, Pehin Dato’ Haji Isa Ibrahim.
The royal wedding commenced last Sunday (Jan 7), and will last 10 days, with the Islamic solemnisation of their marriage taking place today (Jan 11).
Brunei’s ‘most eligible bachelor’ is now officially off the market, and many are keeping up with the gorgeous couple’s wedding festivities through photos and clips which have been shared by their guests online.

Teh Firdaus, the designer of Anisha's baju kurung, shared these pictures of the bride looking elegant at her Khatam Quran event.
Wedding photographer Muash Rosman also shared snaps of Anisha from yesterday (Jan 10)Prince Mateen making his entrance at the Berbedak Pengantin Diraja, or powdering ceremony, where he was blessed by close family members, including his father Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah. The ritual is meant to symbolise fertility and wealth.
Prince Mateen and Anisha will be officially wed after their Islamic solemnisation today, and festivities will carry on until next Wednesday (Jan 17).
