Marvel Boss Kevin Feige Will Be "First In Line" To See James Gunn's DC Projects

The Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn was named co-chairman and CEO of DC Studios early this week.

Marvel boss Kevin Feige will be the "first in line" to see anything James Gunn does after he landed a top job as co-chairman and co-CEO of DC Studios.

Early this week, the Guardians of the Galaxy director and The Suicide Squad producer Peter Safran were named co-chairmen and CEOs of DC Studios, the newly-formed Warner Bros. division where they'll oversee DC's film, TV and animation efforts.

Speaking to Deadline at the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever world premiere at Hollywood's El Capitan Theatre, Feige said, "Well, he has got a lot of work to do for Marvel between now and May, which he’s well aware of.

"But after that, I’ll be first in line to see anything he does."

By "a lot of work", Feige is referring to The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, out on Disney+ on Nov 25, and The Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3, arriving in cinemas on May 4.

In a join statement, Gunn and Safran said, "We look forward to collaborating with the most talented writers, directors, and actors in the world to create an integrated, multilayered universe that still allows for the individual expression of the artists involved."

They will start in the new job on Nov 1.
