Michael Tse AKA Laughing Gor & MC Jin Re-enact Scene From TVB's Lives Of Omission To Mark 10th Anniversary Of The Drama
MC Jin promised to update the photo every decade from now.
Chinese reality talent competition Call Me By Fire has certainly provided many trips down memory lane for long-time TV fans as the participants include heartthrobs who were big in the ‘90s and noughties.
In addition to Jerry Yan’s nostalgia-inducing — but also rather controversial — rendition of ‘Meteor Rain’, there was also a mini reunion between Young and Dangerous stars Jordan Chan, Jerry Lamb, and Michael Tse, who formed their own group called the “Greater Bay Area” with Julian Cheung and Edmond Leung.
However, there was another reunion between Michael, 54, and another former co-star that seemed to be less buzzed about… until now, at least.
On Monday (Sep 27), Michael uploaded a photo collage of himself re-enacting a scene from popular TVB drama Lives of Omission with Hongkong-American rapper Jin Au-Yeung aka MC Jin, 39, who is also a contestant on Fire.
In Lives of Omission, Michael played undercover cop-slash-gangster Laughing Gor while MC Jin was his onscreen mentee Lap Ching. The scene that they were recreating shows Lap Ching happily leaning on Laughing Gor’s shoulder after officially being reinstated as a police officer.
“It’s just been 10 years,” Michael wrote in his caption.
Yup, the series aired from August to September 2011. Feel old yet?
Unsurprisingly, the pic was a hit with fans, who gushed that seeing the photos brings back all kinds of fond memories.
MC Jin also shared the post on his own page, writing, “We promise to update this photo on time in 2031, 2041, 2051, 2061……!”
