Netizens Concerned About 6 Months Pregnant Ivy Chen’s Noticeably Thinner Appearance
Some said the Taiwanese actress looks like a “completely different person”.
Recent photos of Taiwanese actress Ivy Chen, who is six months pregnant, have gotten fans worried about her health.
Yesterday (Sep 16), the 38-year-old, who is expecting her second child, shared several photos of her “new summer look” on social media.
Showing off her new short bob and bangs, Ivy wrote: “A change of hairstyle, a change of mood. After moving to the mountains, my body and mind are more comfortable. I am definitely more suited to live in nature.
However, what got the attention of netizens was her visibly thinner appearance and “bulging eyes”.
There were comments like How did you become so thin? , “Looks a bit scary , Who is this? This is not Ivy Chen” and Looks like a different person .
There were also concerned fans who urged her to eat more as “it is not good to look like this when [she is] pregnant .
Ivy and Taiwanese director Hsu Fu Hsiang tied the knot in 2018 and welcomed their son, nicknamed 'Xiao Chu', in 2019.
In July, she announced that she's pregnant with a girl and is due at the end of the year.
Ivy shared that her pregnancy was a complete surprise and she only learned that she had a bun in the oven when she was two months along.
My husband and I have been busy working, so we did not plan to have another baby. I was very surprised when I found out, she said, adding that Fu Hsiang smiled for an entire week when he learned that they are expecting a girl.
As for the two-year-old Xiao Chu, he was surprisingly calm when she broke the news to him, and even replied with a sassy “no problem!”
Maybe it's because she's been through childbirth, Ivy said she feels calmer and more at ease than when she was expecting Xiao Chu.
I was more nervous when I was pregnant with my first child, and I bought a lot of books to read, but with this child, I am completely myself and I am always in a good mood. I think being in a good mood is the best prenatal care for the baby, she said.
She has also been practicing prenatal yoga to maintain good physical and mental health.
