Netizens Say Wang Leehom Really Looks Like This Chinese Businesswoman In His New Beauty Campaign
Do you see the resemblance?
Back in July, singer Wang Leehom, 45, finally got rid of his pandemic-induced scruffy beard, much to the delight of his fans who just wanted to see their idol clean-shaven again.
And now, they get to feast their eyes on more beard-free Leehom, now that he's the new face of a beauty brand.
On August 31, Japanese beauty brand Tatcha shared images of their latest campaign featuring Leehom.
However, netizens are saying that the brand might have been a little overzealous when it came to editing the pics. The netizens have called out the brand for abusing the smoothening brush, making Leehom’s skin seem overly flawless.
“He’s turned into an auntie,” sighed one netizen, while others say that Leehom is a doppelgänger for 67-year-old Chinese businesswoman Dong Mingzhu.
Mingzhu, for those who don't know, is the chairwoman of Chinese appliance manufacturer Gree Electric, and was ranked fifth on Fortune magazine’s list of Most Powerful Women International in 2020.
“This comparison is super on-point”, one netizen wrote in response, while another asked: “Wouldn’t it be better to just get Mingzhu to endorse the product in this case?”
