Netizens Unhappy With TVB For Leaving Grace Wong Out Of Weibo Post About Her New Drama The Righteous Fist Now That She’s No Longer A TVB Artiste

They are asking the broadcaster to be “fair” to the 35-year-old actress, who left TVB in December after 14 years.

Among the many actors who left TVB on less-than-pleasant terms is Grace Wong, who was said to have been “sidelined” by the station for years, and who eventually parted ways with the company 'cos she couldn't agree on the terms that were offered to her in a new contract.

Before leaving TVB in December, the 35-year-old shot two dramas, one of which is the blockbuster The Righteous Fist, which debuted this week.

On Jan 8, TVB shared stills of Ruco Chan, Natalie Tong, Joel Chan, Elaine Yiu and Philip Ng on Weibo to remind fans to tune in to the first episode on Jan 10. They also tagged each of the cast in their post. Well, everyone except for Grace.

Grace's glaring absence from the post led her fans to question the broadcaster if she was “left out because she’s no longer with TVB”.

The station then assured the fans that this was not the case, and that they were “promoting the cast members in different batches”.

On Jan 11, TVB released a second batch of stills, and this time, there was Grace’s pic.

However, Grace was still not tagged in this post, much to the disappointment of her fans.

“I wonder if they conveniently forgot how to search for her Weibo account," wrote one displeased netizen.

Netizens also pointed out that the way TVB grouped the cast “made no sense”.

One explained, “I would understand if they wanted to differentiate the good guys and bad guys in the show. In that case, shouldn’t Natalie, Elaine and Grace be put in the same post?”

Netizens are now asking TVB to be “fair” to Grace, especially since she “spent 14 of her best years with the station”.

Some have also called the broadcaster out for their “terrible attitude” which they think will “only cause more artistes to cut ties with them”.
