Property Agent Posts Video Of Pakho Chau’s Alleged New Apartment; The HK Star Says It’s Fake

Don’t believe everything you see on the Internet.

Like many of his peers, Hong Kong actor-singer Pakho Chau has been developing his career in China in recent years.

The 38-year-old has seen a resurgence in popularity following his appearances on variety shows Infinity And BeyondCall Me By Fire 3 and Night In The Greater Bay 2

Recently, a netizen, believed to be a real estate agent, posted a video of what he claimed to be Pakho's abode in Guangdong.

Titled "Even Pakho Chau has approached me to buy a house, do you want to be neighbours?", the netizen claimed Pakho bought the apartment as an investment.

The unit is said to have three bedrooms.

In the video, Pakho and his manager can be seen checking out the space with an agent.

Staff even welcomed them with applause when they arrived.

According to reports, the property is located in Qingyuan, in Guangdong province, and is a large-scale development in the city centre.

The three-bedroom apartment Pakho was viewing is said to be around 800 sq ft, with three bedrooms, and cost 600,000 yuan (about S$115.8K).

After the video made the rounds online, netizens criticised the agent for infringing on the singer’s privacy as well as using him for free publicity.

"It's fake"

Well, turns out it's fake news.

Pakho shared through his manager that "the photos and description are fake".

"That was when I was filming The Stories of Lion Rock Spirit, I went to the house to shoot some scenes, and there were many actors present," he said.

While he admitted that he has viewed many new properties in the cities in the Greater Bay Area and that his parents also like them, he is not ready to buy just yet.

"In this current situation, I want to view more [properties] first,” said Pakho.
