We’ve all taken our fair share of ‘unglam' pictures, with some unfortunately immortalised in our passports, driving licenses, and student passes.

Recently, Chew Chor Meng took to his socials to share these #throwback photos.

The two pictures, which were taken in the ‘80s when the 52-year-old actor was in his mid-to-late teens and a Ngee Ann Polytechnic student.

In the first picture, Chor Meng is virtually unrecognisable, with him sporting a pretty long hairstyle that was all the rage back then.

1 of 2 Wait, how was this photo not rejected by the school?

But if we’re being candid here, the second photo is the clear winner. In that picture, Chor Meng appears to have been caught mid-blink.

Describing it as the “squint-eyed” version of himself, Chor Meng went on to joke that he’d lived out his polytechnic days with his “eyes closed”.

“Have you ever seen a student pass [picture] where [the subject] is squinting?” he went on to question, adding that “he didn’t even care” about how bad the photo was.

Chor Meng’s fellow celebs pals could not help but comment on the two pictures, with many writing that they “really can’t recognise” the actor.

“It really doesn’t look like you at all!” Kate Pang commented, while Christopher Lee went for a simple: “Who's that” along with a number of emojis conveying his surprise.
