Elvin Ng’s Manager Responds To Dasmond Koh’s Claims About An “Unpleasant Incident” Between Elvin & Actress Angel Lim
Dasmond took to IG to ask “what really happened” between Elvin and Noontalk Media artiste Angel on the set of 2018’s Heart to Heart.
The dramatic bullying saga involving Elvin Ng and Taiwanese actor Patrick Lee got upsized when host Dasmond Koh waded into the conversation with his own stories.
For those who need catching up, Elvin revealed on Mediacorp talk show The Inner Circle that he was treated badly by one of his co-stars, whom he only described as a veteran Taiwanese actor playing his older brother, on the set of a drama in KL.
Netizens speculated that he was talking about Patrick, who worked with Elvin on 2018’s Gifted, but the former’s management agency denied this. Patrick later fought back by sarcastically ‘congratulating’ Elvin on becoming “more famous” through this incident.
Then, today (Apr 12), Dasmond took to Instagram to reveal that one of his Noontalk Media protégés, Xu Bin, also had “an unhappy experience” while filming a show in Malaysia with “Mr. Lee”, who is assumed to be Patrick. However, they had let it slide back then.
After apologising to anyone he may have unintentionally hurt ‘cos of his ignorance, Dasmond stated that “bullying incidents cannot be ignored ‘cos growth requires positive energy instead of being hidden in the shadows”.
The 49-year-old then insinuated that Elvin, 40, hadn’t been very nice to one of his Noontalk artistes, newcomer Angel Lim: “Don’t do to others what you don’t want done to you, so I would like to ask Elvin, what really happened on set when you were filming Heart to Heart with Angel?”
“It could also have been Angel’s issue and not exactly Elvin’s,” he said. “Since we are all on this topic, I thought we might as well clear the air. If they want to, they should just talk amongst themselves to solve whatever miscommunication that might’ve happened.”
A few hours after Dasmond’s post went up, Elvin seemingly responded to his accusation with a photo of fish and a rather cryptic analogy about swimming, which you can read below:
Ada Koh, Elvin’s manager from The Celebrity Agency, also shared a statement to 8days.sg, saying: “We are in conversation with Noontalk and are finding out more. After all, it’s been more than three years. The best way forward is for both artistes involved to have a private constructive dialogue.”
Let’s hope everyone sorts things out nicely in the end.
