Fann Wong Reveals Touching Note Her Dad Wrote While In The Intensive Care Unit

This is true love.

Who says there's no such thing as true love?

Last night (Feb 23), Fann Wong Instagrammed a handwritten message that was written by her 78-year-old father, who had been warded in a hospital's Intensive Care Unit (ICU). He had a message for the nurses but couldn’t speak 'cos he was intubated. He then wrote what he wanted to say on a whiteboard. And his message was clear: he wanted to see his wife.

“Let my wife see me. It had on right whole night (sic). I want to see my wife,” Papa Fann wrote. He then scribbled her phone number for the nurses to call. His next message was: “When the tube be taken out (sic)”.

While Fann did not share what her dad was warded for, she hailed him as her “hero” in her post. Her younger sister, Fann Wen Qing, however, gave more insight to the situation in her own IG post.

“Our father was intubated in the ICU for a bit so he couldn’t speak. He could only communicate with the nurses through a writing board,” she explained in her post. “First thing he wanted was to see my mum. (His grammar and handwriting is a little bit wonky here 'cos he was under some sedation still).”

Fann then replied to her sister in the comments section, writing: “The 2nd sentence should be that his ear kit is on the whole night ... have to off if not there’s condensation or something (sic).”

Now that Papa Fann has been discharged and is back home, Wen Qing wrote that she had asked her mum to ask her dad what he was trying to say. He said he forgot liao, was the reply her mum gave.

While that mystery may never be solved, what’s clear as day is the love Fann's parents have for each other.
